Sonic Being

Does sound exist only when we hear it?

In distant seas or deep forests where no one listens, the sounds of breaking waves and rustling leaves arise and dissipate every moment on their own. Traditionally, however, we view sound through a human lens—treating it only as an object to be heard or a mere medium for our senses or information. We challenge this conventional perspective by proposing a new understanding of sound as an independent entity that persists on its own beyond sound-listener relationship.
